It's all miserable & magical
[00:00:00] I've said this before, but I heard it a lot this week. A lot of moms had said to me, I know I shouldn't complain cause I'm gonna miss these times when these kids get bigger. Right? And I would say, hell no. Meaning yes, of course I miss like the sweet little times where my babies were toddlers, but those sweet little times were not the most of the times, right?
So I don't miss all those times they were throwing tantrums or pooping on the floor, or not pooping because. Resistant. So if you love certain parts of toddler, great. And if you dislike a lot of it, also very realistic. I would say that's the truth in life. I don't wanna ever look back on any part of my life and wistfully, thank God I would go back to that.
I wanna look at each part and be like, amazing and sucky. Right. Thank you Taylor Swift. Miserable. Magical. So how about as older people, we don't, um, idealize the past and make the people who are living what we idealize feel guilty and bad that they are wishing some of it away. Let's do that. Let's just be honest.
It's miserable and magical like any part of life.
